About Me

A Whole-body Approach

Hi, I’m Shelley Jones - a Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncturist, yoga teacher, and workshop facilitator based in Somerset.

My work combines acupuncture with simple movement, breath work, acupressure, mindfulness, and Five Element theory to help people feel more connected, balanced, and at ease within themselves.

Alongside one-to-one treatments, I also offer classes, workshops, retreats, and collaborative events designed to make these teachings practical, accessible, and easy to integrate into everyday life.

Background & Training

After working within the mental health sector for many years, I trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, graduating in 2016 with a Licentiate and BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture.

For over 10 years I've worked with people experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, tension, fatigue, chronic health issues, and the impact that modern life can have on both body and mind.

I'm a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and committed to safe practice, high professional standards, and ongoing continued professional development.

Understanding Health More Deeply

Alongside my clinic work, I've spent many years exploring the connection between physical, mental, and emotional health through both professional and personal experience.

Having undertaken long-term psychotherapy myself, I've developed a deep appreciation for the ways our experiences, stress, emotions, lifestyle, and nervous system can shape both our health and our relationship with ourselves.

This continues to strongly influence the way I work. My approach is compassionate, intuitive, grounded, and centred around helping people better understand their patterns while supporting greater balance, resilience, and connection in everyday life.

Five Element Philosophy

Five Element acupuncture has deeply shaped the way I work. It offers a framework for understanding ourselves through the rhythms of nature, the body, mind, emotions, behaviour patterns, and the different stages and challenges we move through in life.

I'm passionate about sharing these ideas in a way that feels modern, relatable, and genuinely useful - whether through acupuncture treatments teaching, movement, or group work.
